When I was thinking about the past couple of years, I thought about how phrases had come into our vernacular as a result of the pandemic and society’s response to it. Early in the first lockdown in the UK I found that the news became almost compulsive viewing, a way to see what was happening outside the four walls. I was so grateful for having a view from my window but very aware how difficult it was for people who lived in more built-up areas. The thought bubble contains some the many things that stood out during lockdown for me personally.
