My panel was inspired by the incredible change I witnessed in nature during the first lockdown. The lack of noise, cars on the road, people locked in their homes made the nights feel darker and stars sparkle brighter. Watching and reading the news about animals roaming in cities, and seeing more wildlife from our home was beautiful. Mother earth started to heal, to reclaim herself, even if it was just for a short time. The calm felt almost magical and whilst the affects of the virus tore through the human population it felt in a sense that the planet may be changed for the better as a result. My addition to this wonderful project represents that change, a positive change among many negatives. A small push to humankind to be more mindful in our steps on this planet that provides us with so much so that she can once again thrive and nature can bloom.
