When I think what kept me going through covid lockdowns 1/2/3 in Britain, apart from contact with family, friends and colleagues, was nature. I am lucky enough to live in a city with many green spaces, which is not difficult to get out of by foot. So trips to walk in the countryside, time in the garden, allotment, and park helped me bring fresh air to life, and made things feel less restricted. We watched birds from the garden, planted seeds, spotted trees, and enjoyed glimpses of nature. All the lockdowns have merged into one, but hopefully we will pay more attention to the natural world around us.
