Our “Guardian” during the pandemic, must be the NHS. We clapped and sang its praises, we applauded the stoicism of its staff, we marvelled at its resilience. Stitching kept my equilibrium during our Lockdowns and beyond. The panel I stitched made me reflect on those who work in the NHS, those who have had to use it in this very troubled time. However positive I aimed to be I did come back to the underfunding, over-worked, exhausted system and all the staff that work in it. I usually stitch onto robust paper, so stitching on fabric was a bit of a challenge. Worth every minute.
