I am thankful for my family and our safe home here in Glasgow. During COVID I enjoyed lots of neighbourhood walks (nature) together with my husband and our two teenage children.  I had more time for crafting; this has helped my mental health; helped me stay positive, occupied and focused on the nice things in life. Working from home (day-job) over 18 months has made me feel more and more isolated and forgotten. Expat life is adventurous but also challenging. During the pandemic and the long weeks of lockdown there was more time to reflect, and I realised how exhausted I was from the many changes and new starts in different countries. While the world is slowly, slowly recovering from the pandemic, we are once again packing our bags and saying our farewells to Glasgow, this wonderful and friendly city, and to Scotland. In early 2022, my family and I are moving back to our home country Switzerland after almost 20 years abroad. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to tell my story and participate in this wonderful collaboration of so many passionate and talented stitchers.
