I am a designer maker who has always responded to requests to draw, design and make- i.e. preferring to respond to commissions rather than taking the risk of making things that nobody may want. So when lock down took hold, and requests ceased, with it came an extraordinary state of mind- one that took hold in such a way that even doing the gardening seemed of little value or importance. There was nobody to do anything with or for so why do it.
