Hi, I am Pat Traveria from sunny Florida, USA. Hand embroidery is the art medium of my choice, at the moment. I have embroidered an image of myself standing among a bunch of moving boxes. The first alarm of the Covid pandemic arrived the weekend we downsized from our home of 38 years, into a smaller house more suited to our current needs. The Covid restrictions combined with the stress of moving provided me with plenty of time to unpack and settle into my new life. I never dreamed that it would include so much sad and horrifying news. Embroidery has been a lifeline to calm my nerves. It is an honor to be included on the Covid Chronicle Quilt. The pandemic has touched so many lives. The artists here, from all over the globe, have documented how it affected us.
